Daniel Holland Photography

An interactive and adaptive website to showcase the portfolio of London based street photographer Daniel Holland.

For this project we created a modern website both in terms of both design and build. The main focus for the design was to allow Daniel’s photographs to take centre stage and have maximum impact. To accomplish this we used full screen images on the homepage to grab a visitors attention straight away.

Another major focus was to make the site interactive and fun to use. The portfolio provides a grid style interface where images can be viewed individually and also a “full screen” switcher to make the images animate and shuffle to take up 100% of screen space.

The site is built on WordPress enabling Daniel to easily update every aspect of the site and manage it himself. He also wanted to be able to sell products from his site. We created a simple e-commerce section which allows customers to purchase photographs without fuss.

For this project we were also able to make it responsive and adaptive! We have used the latest coding techniques (HTML 5, CSS 3 and jQuery) so that the site is optimised for the iPad and other tablets and the iPhone and other smart phones too. The layout responds to the device accessing the site and provides a layout and view that’s tailor made for it.
